Why do we use hygienists?

At Crabtree Road I have been using the services of our hygienists for over twenty years. They provide an extremely valueable service for our patients by spending the time not only to clean and polish teeth but also in providing information on home care and maintenace, how to control bleeding gums and areas where food and debris may accumulate. They are all very skilled in their art and are available on Mondays (Kim Hart), Tuesday and Fridays (Diane Paton) and on Wednesdays (Dianne Weeding).

Hygiene fees

Our hygienists generally work on a private basis at a cost of £48.00 per session. Denplan patients are treated under their contracted arrangements and usually there is no extra charge for this service. We actively encourage our patients to see the hygienists on a regular basis and over the years I have noticed that there has been a marked imrovement in our patients oral health. We have far fewer emergencies than we has 20 years ago and while this is in part down to improved education and self awareness I also feel that our hygienists have also been largely instrumental in this.

Children and the hygienists

If you are worried that your children are not caring for their teeth properly and would like some advice on how to improve the situation we will be delighted to book them in with our hygienists for this purpose. We are aware that finances are stretched these days so children will be treated at a reduced rate of £12.00 per 15 minute session or £20.00 for a 30 minute session.
