Mouth guards
We recommend that everyone who participates in contact sports such as rugby, squash etc should consider wearing a sports mouthguard to protect their teeth.
A sports mouth guard is inexpensive and can save a lot of suffering should an accident occur.
New local anaesthesia
Mike Powell has purchased the Wand. This innovative delivery system allows us to give virtually painless injections and at the same time the patients leaves the practice without having to put up with a numb mouth for several hours. The technique is very safe and uses much smaller quantities of anaesthetic than normal systems.
Minimal Intervention Techniques
The use of air abrasion and micro burs now means that many of the restorations that we have to carry out can be kept as small as possible. In some instances no anaesthetic may be required. Early detection of the initial lesion is very important and for this reason, we hope that you continue to visit the practice at your recommended recall interval.
Failed and cancelled appointments
As a professional practice it is not our policy to charge for failed or late cancelled appointments. We realise that crises occur in all walks of life and sometimes we just plain forget. All we ask is that you contact the practice as soon as possible.
We do however in the case of persistent failures exert the right to refuse any further treatment with us here at Crabtree Road
Second opinions
We understand that private dentistry is now quite complex and costs can be daunting. If you wish to avail us for a second opinion then we are willing to do this at our normal consultation rates of £38.00.
