Twelve years ago Mike Powell helped pilot the Excel accreditation scheme. He has found this to be extremely useful and it enables him to give every patient an oral health score. He regularly checks the eight oral health score categories at every recall examination as well as sceening for oral cancers.

Every member of the practice is aware of the need to work safely under General Dental Council guidelines.
